A melding of 19th century Romanticism with the naive belief in childhood comic book heroes

The first piece in which I have used a narrative text
The text is spoken in English, Spanish, Hebrew, Arabic, Japanese, and Russian.
Heroes of Every Color Will Gather is an attempt to meld 19th century Romanticism with the naive belief in childhood comic book heroes. It is meant to inspire a response to the regressive social and political views that are now predominant in much of the world. The Romantic period of European classical music was notable for increased expression and emotion in contrast to the formalism of the classical period. The music is meant to evoke heroism and hope for a greater future. This is the first piece in which I have used narrative.
Heroes of Every Color Will Gather
You will rise from our cities, towns and villages;
from the forest, jungle and plains
Bearing banners proclaiming justice, truth and beauty
Heroes of Every Color Will Gather
Come to us; banish our fear with your passion
Heroes of Every Color Will Gather
Tyrants Will Walk Barefoot.
The text is first spoken in English, with subsequent recitation in Spanish, Hebrew, Arabic, Japanese, and Russian. The mixture of the languages is intended to function as additional instruments.
The instrumentation includes processed vocals, three violins, two cellos, bass violin, three processed electric guitars, percussion including Tabla, and multiple synthesized sound sources. The music is intended to blend the late 18th, early 19th century quality of Romantic music with contemporary melodic lines, harmony, and sonic textures, I would like your impressions of the work.
